Boxes...

What a lame title right? It pretty much is a true testament of my life right now. I should be working on my last and final school project to turn in tomorrow to complete college, but instead I find myself reading old cards, looking at old pictures, and of course those boxes! 3 short days left of my college career and life in Indianapolis, CRAZY. It has been such a time of growth for me as a person. I have met the most amazing, true, friends here who everyday inspire me and make me laugh, and this week I really need it! And being away from my family, in a weird way has brought me even closer to them, don't get me wrong, I'm so excited to spend the holidays with them, but I'm going to miss this so much.
     The roommates of #322 sat last night discussing our crazy lives and what we will miss most. We all agreed Trader Joe's is on the top of our list :) We talked about how much Vanessa has come out of her shell and can't wait to see her adventures in New York (Happy early Birthday by the way). We talked about how Natalie and I don't know how we will function not having the other one to talk to for hours late at night. We joked with Miss Baker. Most of all we soaked it all in, next to our boxes.
    I'm going to miss my GG's Pauline, Brit, and Mal...these girls have made me smile, cry, and grow not only as a person but as a fashion student. You all inspire me, and I refuse to go a day with out you. You all better facetime me in for wine and girls night!
    My best friend, Ashley, whom I have had the pleasure of sharing an awesome adventure with over the past year, and her awesome family, that has become my second family. Thank you.
    Tesla, Kathleen, Drew, Dontrell, Joey, Stef , Bridgett and even Sean I guess ; all the wonderful people of Indianapolis who have made my time here amazing, thank you!
   This is so sappy and really I was just going to post a cute picture of my friends..Oh well, back to homework and back to packing!

Endings & Beginnings

 What a wonderful last three weeks I have had. After many photo shoots, late nights, tears, and lots of hours in the print shop with Mallory and Pauline, we had our portfolio show. It was so fun to show case our hard work to friends and family (Thanks Mom for making the trip)

A much needed fall break at home was just what I needed after a busy three years of college. Twelve days of home cooked meals, old friends, and my family. And then it was the start of my so far so good internship and I must say I am loving the event planning side of fashion very much! So like always the weekend was spent with wine, best friends and lots of laughs.

Smells like fall..

Hello All-
  Even if it is still August, I'm full on in fall mode. When pumpkin candles make their arrival in stores, I instantly want to break out the candy corn and boots. I took this as an chance to expand my fall wardrobe, well that and Gap friends & family was going on. So with new shoes, mulberry denim, and a new fashion coffee table book, I  encourage you to also embrace the changing of the seasons.

Home sweet Indy...

As many of my friends, family and roommates know...I have been a hot mess for last 8 weeks over finding the perfect internship. My internship is required for me to get my degree in fashion in the fall. I applied for internships at big companies,  small companies, old companies, new companies, some here in town, some far away and some farther away. I had many ups and downs, many nights of lost sleep, many nights of "where will I end up?" . But after all the good and bad I had an awesome interview, and was secretly hoping for that to be my place. And after months of stressing, I'm so blessed to get to live in this city that has become my  home for the last three years, stay with my friends i become so close with, and stay in my cute apartment...and I am pumped!!!

Graduation

As Elle Woods once said "We did it"!! This past weekend myself and my fellow classmates walked across the stage, in our not so flattering caps and gowns mind you, and graduated college!! We still have a few more months of school, but it is fast approaching the end of my time in Indianapolis. I have met countless friends whom are now considered family here.I have fallen in love with the city itself, I have had ups and downs, and most of all became Kylie. It was such a good weekend shared with my family, who I could NOT of gotten through this with out. Looking forward to the future and following well chasing my dreams...

We're all Mad here...

What a week! I have lived and breathed my senior "stylist" photo shoot for the past 7 weeks. My theme was "Mad Hatter" and it could not of gone better! Road Trip

Greetings!
    I'm such a planner, so this weekend was a big surprise! My roommate and I last minute decided to pack up the car, get a hotel and road trip to the unknown Brown County, Indiana! The trip part its self could of been enough for a blog. The weekend was a blast, full of meeting locals, breweries, wineries, and our favorite trinket shopping!
